This Is How We Listen.

What does it mean to listen?
Can we even do it,
because it will require us to pause.
We must wait for a moment,
suspended in the space between what we have created and what we wish to.
But, it is important to rest.
It is important to learn how to receive.
I don't do this well, always.
But luckily perfection is not a requirement of living.
So we sit here,
together and we wait.
We breathe and we choose to not know.
That's how we listen,
we make a decision to stay open to being told something new.
We curiously witness the unfolding of tenderness and freshness.
Patience.
Pause.
Receive.
Slowly.
Bravely.
Open.
That's how we listen, we open so gently to the moment that we allow it or you to direct us where we are next meant to go.
Follow the flow.
Be guided.
Gently.
Together.

We Are Enough - That's What Humble Is.

May we just be,
as we are.
May we learn to offer no more or no less.
May we not shy away from the beauty that we have to share and may we also not hide the shadow we are still working on.
This is true humbleness.
Being humble does not mean that we cower.
It does not mean that we feel defeated because we are less capable then some.
Humbleness means we offer everything we have and we offer it fully.
It means we accept that in certain lights we sparkle and that in others we appear a shade of grey.
But it means we acknowledge that right now we are good enough to be of service.
It means that despite and perhaps because of our speckled, imperfect reflection, we have something that can support others to know.
Be humble.
Be no longer afraid who we are is not okay.
It is.
We are.
Offer it all.
Offer everything.
That's freedom.
The freedom of one who can just be.

The Journey Home.

If we are trying to find our heart again, because we had lost it.
It's okay.
It is a journey.
If we are not there yet to feeling wholeness all the time,
that's alright too.
The destination is less important.
Perhaps desire and purpose is more the thing that matters here.
The dedication to love might be enough to allow us to eventually see it everywhere.
Hearts open in the sunshine and then hide behind a cloud.
That's natural.
That's living.
That's organic life.
But let's always try to be gentle.
Tender.
Sweet.
For how we talk to ourselves is how we will treat others.
We must be honest and loving with the one who is right here.
If we are trying to find our heart again, because we had lost it.
That's okay.
The destination is less important.
Perhaps it's in this work that we are doing right now, that we will discover it despite of ourselves, anyways.

What If Love Was This?

What if love was entirely different then we had imagined?
What if it had nothing to do with commitments and boxes and houses and rings and pledges and promises?
What if it simply just was -
An energy that sat at the centre of the core of everything,
and a fluid stream of light particles that surrounded us all of the time?
What if love was like the air?
Would we be so scared of it then?
Would we think like we do, that there was a limited amount?
Would we think like we do that we must covet it so?
No.
If we could see love like the air, we wouldn't have the impoverished complex that we do - that love was something rare to be clung to.
Rather, it would be something constant.
It would be as regular as breathing in and out.
I think love is this.
I think love is always right here.

Following the Muse.

When the muse calls,
say yes.
Or at least whisper,
maybe.
That's all she needs.
That's all she requires to lead us down the path to meet our mystery.
When we hear her breath,
when we feel her lips linger on the back of our neck,
all we must do is open.
All we must do is pause.
She's bringing us a message.
She's arriving to tell us a story.
One that needs our writing.
One that needs our creating,
by the movements of these simple bodies and the stirring of these enlightened souls.
Like finger painters we were meant to smear a palette of bold colours across the clear canvas of stark lives.
Like master weavers we were meant to create a knit so intricate it could never be undone.
The only one we were put here to weave.
The only one we were put here to paint.
The only one we were put here to write.
The wild adventure of a heart.
She's not calling because she has nothing better to do.
She's calling us to awaken.
She's whispering,
'enjoy.'
'Live.'
'Be.'
She's saying,
'do it.'
'Dare.'
She's saying,
'I love you.'
'It's okay.'
She's saying,
'We are guided.'
'There's a bigger reason.'
'Listen.'
Say yes.
Or at least maybe.
That's all she needs.
That's all she requires to lead us down the path to meet our mystery.
